Game Overview
Last Swing is a one-button grapple runner that puts you in the shoes of a stickman fleeing across a collapsing urban skyline. Hold to attach your grapple rope to overhead anchors and swing forward, then release at the right moment to launch through the air toward the next anchor point. The cityscape crumbles behind you, so hesitation means falling into the void. Gaps between buildings grow wider, hazards like spikes appear along your path, and the pace ramps from a gentle jog to a breakneck sprint. The single-input design makes it instantly learnable but devilishly hard to master, as every launch angle and release timing must be judged on the fly. Choose from different map themes to change the visual atmosphere of your escape.
How to Play
🎯 Objective: Escape the collapsing skyline and travel the farthest distance possible.
🎮 Controls: PC: Hold SPACE or mouse click to stay grappled, release to launch. Mobile: Hold touch to grapple, release to launch.
📋 Rules: Distance is your score. Missing a swing, hitting hazards, or falling into a gap ends the run. The pace starts easy and becomes hardcore over time.
Tips & Strategies
- 1.Release your grapple when the stickman is swinging upward and forward. Launching at the peak of an upswing gives maximum distance.
- 2.Do not hold the grapple too long. Swinging past the ideal release point sends you downward instead of forward.
- 3.Watch for anchor points ahead during your swing arc. Plan your next grapple while still airborne from the previous one.
- 4.In later stages when speed is very high, react to anchor proximity rather than trying to time perfect arcs.
Scoring System
Your score is measured in meters of horizontal distance escaped from the starting point. Every swing that carries you forward adds to your distance total. There are no bonus points or multipliers; the leaderboard is purely a measurement of how far you traveled before falling, hitting a hazard, or missing an anchor.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the different map themes?
Last Swing offers multiple visual themes that change the skyline backdrop and color palette of your run. You can browse and select themes from the map selection screen before starting. Each theme is purely cosmetic and does not affect gameplay difficulty.
Why does my stickman sometimes hit spikes?
Spikes are hazards placed on certain buildings along your route. If you swing too low or release your grapple at a bad angle, you may collide with them. Watching your swing trajectory and releasing at the right height helps you clear these obstacles.
Does the game have stages or is it continuous?
The run is continuous with no level breaks. However, the game uses an internal stage system that progressively increases speed and gap difficulty. You can see the current stage indicator on the HUD. Higher stages mean faster collapse and wider gaps between buildings.
